The Ambassador of Saint Lucia, HE Dr. Robert Lewis, visited Fu Jen Catholic University on April 18. The delegation was received by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ying-Chou Wang; the Dean of the Office of International Education, Prof. Connie Chun-Chi Yang; the Director of the Center of Chinese Language and Culture, Fr. Wojciech Rybka, and accompanied by the Saint Lucian student in the Bachelor's Program in Interdisciplinary Studies (BPIS).

Fu Jen Catholic University provides a wide range of disciplines, including the recently opened BPIS, offering international students a variety of choices and rich study experiences in Taiwan. The Vice President expressed his anticipation that, based on such an excellent foundation and Catholic heritage, further academic exchanges between the Embassy and the University will be initiated in the near future.

The delegation later visited the school's enhancing learning spaces. The Ambassador was impressed by the vibrant campus atmosphere and the architectural designs that reflect Christianity on the Fu Jen campus.

It has been a tradition for over a decade for Saint Lucian students to complete a one-year Chinese language program at the Center of Chinese Language and Culture of FJCU. The graduates include the current Second Secretary of the Embassy. Her revisit of the school as an alumna with the ambassador bears great significance.   nusa188
